About the Project

The GMP project is funded by National Water Resources Board (NWRB) and DOST- Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD). This project is spearheaded by Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), Departments of Environmental Science (ES) and Electronics, Computer, and Communications Engineering (ECCE) in collaboration with NWRB, DOST-PCIEERD, DOST-PAGASA and Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU). Real time monitoring of water level and quality thru installation of telemetry sensors shall be done in various areas in Zamboanga, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Metro Manila and its surrounding areas. This project is headed by Maria Aileen Leah G. Guzman, Ph.D, Assistant Professor from the Department of Environmental Science.

Water Level and Quality Monitoring

The primary purpose of the system is to monitor the water quantity and quality in the groundwater monitoring wells of NWRB in different parts of the Philippines. Water quantity (Static Water Level) and quality parameters included in the monitoring are the pH level, electric conductivity (EC), temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS) and salinity.

Data Visualization

This visualization platform serves as the endpoint of the overall system of groundwater quality monitoring. Data from the sensor systems can be viewed in graphical and tabular form.
